Born 1989 in Somerset West, South Africa, and moved to Belfast, Northern Ireland in 2006 where I got myself an education. I currently live somewhere near Bristol in the Land of the English.
I always loved art and making stuff, and I discovered the enjoyment of beating metal with hammers in 2009. I therefore studied silversmithing and jewellery, a degree I graduated from in 2012 without attending said graduation…I assume it still counts though.
Exploring the boundaries between concept, comfort, and function, my creations usually verge on the calmly insane, balancing hints of usefulness with unusual imaginings. Humanity and society has been a particular concern recently and I have been delving into the inner workings of the individual mind as well as the collective mind of the community. In other words: I like to tell stories.
When the Stranger says: “What is the meaning of this city ?
Do you huddle close together because you love each other?”
What will you answer? “We all dwell together
To make money from each other”? or “This is a community”?
